Students from all around the Commonwealth of Massachusetts began arriving at Stonehill College around 10:00 am June 14th. for Saturday morning registration. The American Legion and volunteer staff members processed nearly 400 students, directed them to their dormitories for their room assignment .
Staff members, welcomed each other back to Stonehill for the first time since last year. Here, Michael Millette, Boys State 1983, greets Boys State Secretary, Dottie Pickup. Dottie will be retiring this year after nearly 30 years working with the Boys State Program.
Following registration and check-in, students participated in their first municipal, followed by a general assembly, where they were welcomed to the Boys State Program by Chairman Mark Avis and Director of Education, Lawrence DiCara.
